Who am I?


My name is Kat, and I wear a variety of hats depending on the time of year. I work on a farm with native plants during the growing season, the other portion of my time goes to renovating homes with my husband. We move quite often, fixing up the house over the course of a few years, and then turn it around and sell it.
We plan to stop moving and continue working on houses on the side as soon as we find our forever home!

My passion is gardening. I want to garden to sustain my home and my kitchen, and I want to garden to assist our pollinators and other wildlife. I love flowers for cutting and for landscaping. I try and focus mostly on native plants because they are the most beneficial, but there is certainly a time and place for hybrids when you're having fun. ;)

The ultimate goal is to homestead as much as I can to rely on ourselves rather than going to the store. Healthy[er] food is what heads this goal. My husband rounds out my efforts with his building and handyman skills, and we make a great team!
